Thank you Ashdown Studios!

At the Co-op, we are so lucky to be supported by both our families and local businesses. We’re doing a small series of posts to say a BIG thank you to these local businesses that have helped us out this year.

Co-op families are a talented bunch, and Co-op Grandma Debbie Rodgers (whose children also went to our school!) of Ashdown Studios was kind enough to allow us to use some of her awesome pictures on our website and in our Playground Fundraising Campaign materials.

Debbie is offering 50 complimentary custom designed holiday cards with any booked session this summer or fall. Holidays might seem far away, but wouldn’t it be great to get that checked of your list early this year? Offer expires at the end of 2015.

Contact Debbie at 360.619.2489 or ashdownlea@aol.com. You can visit her online at ashdownstudios.com.

Spring Plant Sale to Benefit the Playground Fund

Photo of Heirloom Pepper California Wonder from New Leaf Greenhouse Garden Bounty Sampler

We are selling plants starts, hanging baskets, and planters from New Leaf Greenhouse, the same greenhouse that supplied the beautiful poinsettias! The farm offers many options for vegetable and plant starts, as well as hanging baskets and planters. These plants and planters would be excellent for Mother’s Day gifts, starting a home garden, gifting to various family/friends/teachers/neighbors, splitting with other gardening friends, and more! The preschool profits about 30% from this fundraiser and ALL proceeds go to the Playground Fundraising Campaign! If each of our families sold $100 worth of plants, we could earn $3,000 for the Playground fund.

  • Information and order forms will go out the week of March 2nd. Paper orders are due to the preschool by: Friday, April 3rd. Online orders are due by: Friday, April 10th.
  • Please use one order form for each person who orders. Additional copies can be printed online and are available on the bulletin board.
  • Plants will be delivered to the preschool on Tuesday, May 5th. Please plan on picking up your plants between 11-5 on this day!
  • For more information about the plant varieties available, go to the New Leaf Greenhouse Spring Fundraiser page or download a pdf here.
How To Order

Hop, Skip, & Jump-a-Thon 2015

It’s time for our Winter Fundraiser – the Camas-Washougal Parent Co-op Preschool Hop, Skip & Jump-A-Thon!

From January 26 – 30, each class will take their turn hopping, skipping, and jumping their way around a unique track and exciting obstacle course. Students will enjoy music, decorations, and having fun in a healthy way, and each student will be given a certificate and medal for their hard work.

We are asking each student to raise $20 in pledges. You may 1) gather $20 (or more!) in pledges, 2) gather some in pledges and buy-out the remainder, or 3) simply donate $20. Your child will be able to participate no matter which option you choose! All money raised goes towards our non-profit preschool.

We know this age doesn’t always choose to do things exactly as intended, so we are asking for flat donations rather than a per lap donation. For example, your child’s grandparent can pledge a flat $5 total, not $5 per lap.

**Please return the Sponsor Sheet you received from class along with the pledge envelope on the date of the event for your class (see below). Checks can be made out to CW Parent Co-op Preschool with the child’s name on the memo line.**

  • M AM 2s – Monday 1/26
  • M PM 2s – Monday 1/26
  • T/TH AM 4s – Tuesday 1/27
  • M/T/TH PM 4s Tuesday 1/27

  • T/TH AM 3s – Thursday 1/29

Parent Orientation Night 2014

Parent Orientation Night is Thursday, September 4, at 6:30pm in the school gym. This is a mandatory meeting where you will find out a lot of information, including important dates, how the school day works, parent obligations, and fundraising. We will also break into groups so you can meet the teachers, see the classrooms, and learn more about your parent jobs and committees.

The first tuition payment is due Thursday, so please bring it to the meeting. Also, please bring the information sheet you received in the mail so we can verify that we have the correct information for your child(ren).

If you have any questions, feel free to contact the executive board.

We look forward to seeing you all there!
