Registration FAQs

Q: I DON’T HAVE ACCESS TO A COMPUTER DURING THE REGISTRATION NUMBER EVENT. WHAT DO I DO?

A: You can call a board member who will fill out the online form with you over the phone.

NUMBERS to CALL:  503.888.1210 (Julie), 971.645.8192 (Bridgette) 360.921.0497 (Katelin)

Q: HOW CAN I MAKE SURE THAT MY COMPUTER WILL WORK PROPERLY WITH THE ONLINE REGISTRATION NUMBER EVENT FORM?

A: From February 16 – 23, we will have a test form available at www.cwcoop.org/register/test . We encourage you to fill out this form from the computer you are going to use during the Registration Number Event. If your computer is not compatible with the online system, you can use the offline solution outlined above.

Q: HOW ARE THE REGISTRATION NUMBERS ASSIGNED THAT DETERMINE THE ORDER IN WHICH THE FAMILIES CAN REGISTER?

A: Registration numbers are assigned on a first come, first served basis using an online system.  Your online form receives a date/time stamp the moment it is received by our database. This time stamp goes down to the hundredth of a second! We will assign registration numbers based strictly on the time stamp information. Once your registration number has been assigned, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to complete your child’s registration paperwork online. Please complete all of the registration documents, print them and bring a copy of them to Registration Night on Feb. 28th (Returning Families) or March 7th (Alumni & New Families).

Q: WHO CAN BE REGISTERED WITH MY ASSIGNED NUMBER?

A: It has been the long-standing policy of the school, each family must have their own unique registration number to register their child(ren). One adult representative for the family (parent, grandparent, caregiver, etc.) must be present with that number to enroll their child(ren) for the upcoming school year.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I SHOW UP ON REGISTRATION NIGHT?

A: You can expect to be greeted at the door by a board member. We will confirm with you that you have all necessary documents; including your confirmation email, a printed copy of your child’s registration paperwork, a copy of their birth certificate, payment means ( cash or check) for the non refundable tuition deposit and registration/supply fees.

There will be tables and chairs for families to use while they wait for their number to be called along with coffee, water, and refreshments.

Q: WHAT DO I NEED TO HAVE WITH ME ON REGISTRATION NIGHT?

    • Your confirmation email
    • Completed registration paperwork (completed online this year – YAY! Just print a copy!)
    • A copy of your child(ren)’s legal birth certificate for NEW families only  (not the Certificate of Birth from the hospital),
    • Payment (cash or check) for non refundable tuition deposit(s) and registration/supply fee(s):
      • Checks can be made out to CW Co-Op Preschool
      • $135 (2s classes) – This includes a $85 registration and supply fee plus a $50 tuition deposit.
      • $145 (3s classes) – This includes a $95 registration and supply fee plus a $50 tuition deposit.
      • $155 (4s classes) – This includes a $105 registration and supply fee plus a $50 tuition deposit

Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM LATE ON REGISTRATION NIGHT AND MY NUMBER HAS ALREADY BEEN CALLED?

A: If a family representative (parent, grandparent, caregiver, etc.) is not present in the room when your number is called, you will be bumped to the back of the line and will register after all assigned numbers have been processed. NO EXCEPTIONS

Q: IF I DIDN’T FILL OUT THE ONLINE FORM BEFORE MY REGISTRATION NIGHT CAN I JUST SHOW UP?

A: Yes! You will be assigned a number at the door and can register your child(ren) after all the numbers that were pre-assigned online have been called. (February 28 – Returning Families, March 7 – Alumni & New Families)

Q: WHY DO I HAVE TO SHOW UP IN PERSON?

A: This is the first year we are introducing online registration forms.  Because this is a new system this year, we are asking parent(s) to complete forms online and bring a printed copy to your respective Registration Night.

Even though you will complete the registration process online and designate your desired class, you will have the opportunity to confirm that registration and/or change classes if so desired at physical Registration Night. We realize that parents often decide their exact class choice at the last moment depending on what’s available and what other people they know have chosen. In-person registration still provides people the freedom to make a registration decisions based on the available spots when they register.

Q: DO I NEED TO REGISTER AS A NEW PARENT IF WE HAD TO SKIP A YEAR (OR A FEW YEARS) OF ENROLLMENT?

A: For the 2019-2020 school year registration, preschool Alumni who were previously enrolled any time between, September 2013-2018 can register before New Parents. Simply identify yourself as Alumni by answering “YES” to the question on the Alumni & New Parent Registration Number Event form. Alumni will be assigned a letter rather than a number. Alumni with letters will register in alphabetical order, prior to new families, starting at 6pm on March 7th at New Parent Registration Night.
